Two days

This week has been flying by. In fact, I haven't had a moment to take a picture of anything. Instead, I find myself tired and whooped. The weekend seems like it just happened, but it feels so far away. So, today, I'm thankful for two days - two days until the weekend and until I can catch a break.

Shirt design

Today,  I designed a shirt for our coding club, <body> builders in the hopes that  members can earn certifications and wear shirts. Today, I'm thankful for goalss.

Child shoes

Tonight, I painted some Paw Patrol shoes for my cousin's little boy, Grayson. Though, it was still work on a Sunday night, I was happy to defer some of my work-work for the chance to make a little one smile. Tonight, I'm thankful for shoes...especially painting them.

Coloring

Today was a 14 hour day with back-to-school, plus the time I spent working once I got home. So, that's close to 16ish hours. So, after all that work and without my usual exercise relief, I decided to try some of my coloring books. And, it did the trick! Tonight, I'm thankful for some color therapy.

Mentoring

Today, I mentored other attendees during SXSWedu and I even got my own placard. I'm thankful for the opportunity to talk with other educators and share my passion.

Determination

Today, I remember I have determination. Despite any flaws I can try to make up for them with my work ethic and determination. What is your talent you have that gets you through the day?

Success

Today,  I opened my makerspace.  Ands,  though,  there were only a few,  it was successful. ..lots of crafting and innovating.

Bribery

Hour of code

We hosted the Hour of code today.  Despite hopes for more students,  I had a great number of volunteers and each student received personalized help.

My office is 59 degrees.  And that's no lie. Luckily aj got me a space heater. It was nice having warm to my fingers without wearing gloves , scarves, and hoodies.

Today I actually got to attend a session at a conference for the first time in a while. So I decided to check out with some others are doing in the makerspace arena to get some ideas from my own. And what I left with with a whole slew of ideas for organization. And if you know me you know I love organization.

Today,  I put together this IKEA love seat. That store is notorious for items that are difficult to put together.  However,  after putting it together,  I feel pride in my work.

A night of making

Today,  I had a decent number of students come out for our tech club to play with makeymakeys, raspberry pis, and lilypads. They played and explored and I learned from them.

Today,  I had my first official day in my new office.  Though it missing almost everything,  I was able to equip it with a few rugs.

After two weeks of a co worker moving out of their office,  it is finally vacant.
