Today, I got to snuggle with the American flag... I mean my niece. It's the most laughing I've had in a while as I was serenaded by the Lion King!
Today's moment: enjoying the moment
A snapshot and a thought a day. The moments that move me each day. What moves you? What captures your heart?

Today, we held a goocamp for all of our Google lovers in the area. The result: an awesome day filled with innovative educators!
Today's moment: thankful for the innovators and the doers
Though, school hasn't officially started, I've begun doing some work to prepare for the new clubs I plan to offer. And what greater place to do that than my outdoors office?!
Today's moment: enjoying a fresh start
Today, I did a little art for myself and it was wonderful.
Today's moment: making time for all the things that make you uniquely you.
I've been missing Costa Rica and their food since I left two weeks ago. So, I decided to make gallo pinto and batidos... Mango ones at that.
The verdict: Costa Rica may still live on!
I woke up feeling sick today. My original plan was to kayak, but all kayaks were taken. Given the heat and my current condition, I decided to rest in the pool.
Today's moment: taking care of yourself. It was worth it.
Apparently, I did not post this yesterday, so here it is one day late.
There is something so enticing about photo booths. They literally suck you in. Since I was at a company outing and had someone else's money to spend, I decided to be candid and it was just like I remembered.
I've been traveling so much this summer that it had been a long time since I made a fresh cooked meal. Today, I made egg whites with mango pico De gallo with quinoa and tomatoes and raspberries. Delicious!
Today's moment: enjoying summer foods
Today, I found out the results from my MRI. Sadly, I was hoping for a torn meniscus because there are treatment options for that. Instead, I found out I have severe arthritis in an area of my knee that is nearly impossible to treat.
Today's moment: frustration
Today, I wore a new dress to a training I was giving. It was not until after my nearly five hour drive home that I realized the tag was hanging out.
Today's moment: being able to laugh at myself.
Today, I was training teachers in north Texas, an extremely hot and dry location, when I stepped into a mound of burrs. I had at least 20 on one shoe. Ouch!
Today's molest: remembering everything is bigger in Texas
Today, the problems of today can wait until tomorrow. The problems of today don't have to be fixed immediately. So, today, I wait and enjoy today.
Today's moment: feeling great appreciation for my mom. She is always there for me without ever putting herself first.
Today's thought: love for moms

Today's moment: patience
After training today, I went with another trainer to the principal's 250 acre ranch. It was fill of longhorns. Zebras, llamas, and alpacas. It was nothing short of wild and free.
Today's moment: taking a break from the day to day
Today's moment comes from my three year old niece. She was playing a game on the iPad and she discovered Hercules. She said "Hercules is my best friend." I asked her about mom and dad, Mimi and pop pop and she said they were her best friends too. Then I asked her about me and she said, "well, I love you, Christy." Kids do a great job of making you feel great.
Today, I signed on for all paperwork at my new job. I had the chance to walk around and catch the awesome views. Today's moment: hopeful for the future.
I'm thankful for, in times like these, getting by with a little help from my family. Family makes the world go round. Today's moment: finding relief with my parents.
Today was full of its challenges... Big ones. In thinking back about today, I'm thankful to have captured this snapshot that gives me enough happiness and memories to last a lifetime.
Today's moment: one foot in front of the out her
Today is bittersweet. I'm happy to take a real shower again, but very sad to leave such a friendly and easy going country behind. I will say until the next time because I plan on returning!
Today, we begin our travels to Costa Rica. The first leg has started off well. So, here's to hoping the rest is smooth going and a blast!
I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with my nieces. And, this little cutie is full of giggles and grins now.
Need a pick me up? Spend a few hours with a little one.
After two months of traveling, our walk before sunset was the prefect ending to a day back in beautiful Texas. It wasn't until I hit my late 20s that I realized how much I loved Texas.
Though I love to travel and I love presenting, presenting ten times over two days was a bit much. Plus, my hotel room was without windows! For real. Couple those two and you have a tired, homesick person. Tonight, I enjoy being home with Jimmy Fallon.
